Here to tell stories
I’ve been performing for as long as I’ve been able to walk and professionally for the last 20 years.
Now, at the risk of sounding like a total loser… here’s my bio, in third person.
Chloé Zuel has spent the past 16 years performing on professional Australian stages, best known for originating the role of Eliza Hamilton in the Australian production of Hamilton and Catherine of Aragon in the Australian production of SIX.
Most recently, Chloé appeared alongside Jemma Rix and Ben Mingay in Heroes and Villains with a 33-piece orchestra and performed the role of Jess in The Perfect Life in Adelaide, written by Amity Dry. Prior to this, she took on the role of Elizabeth in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, created by Shake & Stir for the Melbourne and Sydney seasons.
Her extensive theatre credits include Anita in West Side Story across Australia, New Zealand and Germany; Sarah in Ragtime for The Production Company; Little Eva/Shirelles in the original Australian production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Michael Cassel Group); Reno in Dusty for the Adelaide Festival Centre; Joanne in Rent at The Hayes Theatre; Ronette in the Australian tour of Little Shop of Horrors; Éponine understudy in Cameron Mackintosh’s Les Misérables; Pilar in Legally Blonde The Musical; Dynamite in Hairspray The Musical; Maid in The Mikado for The Court Theatre Christchurch and Annie in Porgy and Bess with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Internationally, Chloé has performed as a lead vocalist in numerous productions and residencies, including a two-year contract at Universal Studios Japan and a three-month residency with a nine-piece band at The Bellini Lounge at The Venetian Macau.
A career highlight came in 2023 when Chloé was a featured soloist in Disney 100: The Concert (MM Creative), performing alongside the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, The Gold Coast Pops Orchestra and Perth Symphony Orchestra.
Following the birth of her son, Chloé returned to the stage in 2024 for Superstars – A Celebration of Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice with The Very Popular Theatre Company, performing alongside Marina Prior, Silvie Paladino, Joshua Robson and Daniel Belle. She concluded the year performing at the Sydney premiere of Disney’s Mufasa, singing an original song by Lin-Manuel Miranda, which she later reprised at Carols in the Domain.

I want to use this space to share any tips and tricks that I’ve learned along the way because let’s be honest; the performer’s lifestyle isn’t always as glamorous as it seems. Xx
